MINI GARDEN - GREENERY VIBE

A kit that give activity for the elderly to help the pass fill in their days. A gardening kit that is designed for activity purpose in their daily life and bring nature to their home and watch nature grow.

Nursing house that support older people in need through Supportive Coordination, Befriending, Supportive Housing and Campaigns for Change. By providing them with love, care and facilities. But for the elderly themselves, it not enough for them to pass the day. They have too much free time to spend with.

A garden kit for elderly to bring greenery in their solitary, to change their room mood and no too stuffy. Especially for elderly that can’t go out from their rooms. Another purpose is for them have small activity and have a purpose to take care of living thing.

Mostly the elderly that live in the nursing house are above 80 years old or more. In the nursing home itself they have schedule for eating, exercise or sometimes the have workshop everymonth to keep train their mind and to keep their mind busy so they wont think other negative about their life. Other than workshop sometime they have craft time or having volunteers to light up the mood there

Design history

Was inspired by childhood memory folding origami paper. A garden kit that was designed for activity purpose with the users and to encourage and push them for having interaction between each other’s.

Interview

The kit is prepared to try out to an elderly. To prevent prevent accident with scissor volunteer should help them out (if they are unable to grip it properly).

Mini garden comes in a kit that provide stencil, plastic sheets, succulent soil and tools.

Stencil comes in 3 sizes which allow you to have bigger space. This kit will be done during workshop in group of three peoples and 1 volunteer.

Intruction will be included in the booklet
